Medical Device for measurement of MLD
(Manual Lymphatic Drainage)

LINFORoll® is a patented medical device designed to support therapists in performing oedematous fluid drainage. The aim of LINFORoll® is to make oedema drainage OBJECTIVE and REPEATABLE by tracking three key parameters in real time:

  • Pressure exerted on patients, measured in mmHg
  • Speed of execution of the manoeuvre, measured in cm/sec
  • Transmitted energy measured in g/cm


Specifically designed for lymphoedema treatment, LINFORoll® can also be employed in cases of lipoedema, venous oedemas, post- surgery and post-traumatic oedemas.

Technology

LINFORoll® consists of:

  • Hardware: a handpiece with interchangeable silicone rollers (size 3cm or 5cm, depending on the area to be treated) equipped with an integrated processor that transmits real-time data via Bluetooth detected during manoeuvres.
  • Software: to be installed on PC, it allows to create an individual workbook for each patient, select standard or customised treatments and map the affected areas of the body.

The LINFORoll® treatment consists of a sequence of mapped working areas. For each body area, the software provides a combination of pressure values, total energy and number of manoeuvres which are recommended to be respect in order to improve therapy effectiveness.

The software collects essential information to monitor the evolution of therapy:

  • Anamnestic and clinical data, recorded at the beginning of the treatment cycle.
  • Cirtometric measurements, input of pre- and post-treatment limb volumetric data.
  • Iconographic comparison, possibility of uploading clinical images to assess progress.
  • Tonometric data, detection of tissue consistency via tonometer or manual evaluation (soft, medium, hard grading).

 

Thanks to LINFORoll®, lymphatic drainage becomes more accurate, measurable and effective, optimising treatment customisation and improving therapeutic results.
